SAIC is seeking a CI/CD Pipeline Developer with strong technical depth in automation and pipeline engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with a heavy emphasis on GitLab-centric workflows.
Collaborate with Java developers, C++ developers, testers, and infrastructure teams to streamline code integration and delivery.
Implement branching strategies, merge processes, and version control standards using Git and GitLab.
Enhance developer experience through automation, pipeline refinement, and environment consistency.
Support containerization and orchestration strategies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
Maintain detailed documentation of pipeline architecture, configurations, and process workflows.
Qualifications
Required Education
BS degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Skills
Experience using the GitLab environment for CI/CD pipeline creation, orchestration, and automation.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Solid understanding of Git workflows and modern branching strategies.
Experience supporting Java-based applications or working directly with Java development teams.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse technical teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
