Privacy policy
Effective October 9, 2026
RoleWeek is a free job board at roleweek.com. You can use it without an account. This policy says what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do.
The short version
- No account, no cookies, no analytics or advertising trackers.
- Your Saved, Hidden and Applied lists stay in your browser. We never see them.
- We only get what you choose to send us: the contact form, a problem report or an email.
- We never see your job applications. You apply on the employer’s own site.
- We don’t sell personal information.
When you browse
RoleWeek sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
Google hosts the site (Firebase Hosting). Like any web host, it processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you ask for, to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We have not turned on Firebase Hosting’s request logs, so we keep no record of your visits.
Company logos are stored on roleweek.com and served from there, so your browser doesn’t contact anyone else for them.
Saved in your browser
Your Saved, Hidden and Applied roles, the roles you reported, and the time of your last visit (for “new since your last visit”) are kept in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes them.
What you send us
- Contact form. Your company, name, work email and topic, anything else you add (links to roles, cities, a message), the page you sent it from and the time.
- Problem reports. Which role, the reason you pick, any details you write, the page you sent it from and the time. Reports don’t include your name or email address. Please leave personal information out of the details.
- Email. If you email us, we get your message and your email address.
We use this only to reply to you, to correct or remove roles, and to arrange sponsored roles with employers who ask. We don’t sell it or share it for advertising. Form messages and reports are stored in Google Cloud Firestore. Email to hello@roleweek.com reaches us through our email providers (today Namecheap’s forwarding service and Gmail).
Using RoleWeek in AI assistants
RoleWeek offers a read-only connector at roleweek.com/api/mcp that AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT can use to search roles. There is no sign-in. When an assistant uses it, the assistant sends us only the search it wants to run (for example city, role type, level, work mode, minimum salary and keywords) or the role it wants details for. We do not receive your name, your account or your conversation.
For each request we log the tool used, the search filters and keywords (keywords cut to 100 characters), the name the assistant reports for itself (such as “claude” or “chatgpt”), whether the request worked and how long it took, plus the time, the address requested, the response status and size, and the requesting software’s user agent. For requests to roleweek.com/api/mcp these logs do not contain your IP address. To stop abuse, the server holds the address of the computer making each request in memory, without writing it down, and forgets it after 10 minutes without requests. When you use Claude or ChatGPT, that computer belongs to them, not to you. Logs are kept for 30 days and are used only to run the connector, prevent abuse, and count which assistants send people to RoleWeek. Links in the connector’s answers carry a utm_source tag naming the assistant.
Where roles come from
Every role on RoleWeek comes from an employer’s own public job board. Roles describe jobs and employers, not job seekers. Some name a recruiter or hiring contact because the employer included one. If that is you and you want your name off RoleWeek, tell us. Employers can ask us to correct or remove their roles; our terms say how.
How long we keep it
- Form messages and reports: until we no longer need them to handle your request or run RoleWeek. We delete yours when you ask.
- AI connector logs: 30 days.
- The lists in your browser: until you clear them.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, including California and Canada, the law gives you these rights. To ask, email hello@roleweek.com or use the contact form and choose “A privacy request”. We won’t treat you differently for asking.
Children
RoleWeek is for job seekers and employers. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top.
