Sponsor a developer role on RoleWeek

Roles on RoleWeek come straight from employers’ own hiring systems and leave RoleWeek’s lists 7 days after they’re posted. A sponsored role stays in the lists for 30 days in each city you sponsor, shows near the top in those cities, and is always labeled Sponsored.

  • In the lists longer than 7 daysYour role stays in the lists for 30 days in each city you sponsor, as long as it’s still open on your careers site. We check it daily; a closed role comes down. In the 7 days to Oct 27, at least 3,022 roles left RoleWeek at 7 days old while their employers were still listing them (from our daily check).
  • Near the top in your citiesIn each city you sponsor, your role gets a reserved spot right after the first 6 unpaid roles. When several employers sponsor the same city, each next spot is 10 unpaid roles further down, so the list stays useful to job seekers.
  • Labeled Sponsored, with its real dateThe card and the role’s page say Sponsored and show the date you posted it. A sponsored role never looks newer than it is.
  • Applications go to youCandidates apply on your own careers page, so every application lands in your hiring system.
  • Apply click counts, on requestAsk and we’ll tell you how many times visitors clicked Apply on your roles, per role and per week. It counts clicks on RoleWeek’s Apply button, not applications. It is a minimum: RoleWeek counts without cookies and skips visitors who block scripts or send Do Not Track.

Founding sponsors: the first 30 days are free in one city. The first 10 employers that sponsor a role pay nothing for its first 30 days in one city of their choice (Remote counts as a city). More cities are $149 each. After the free 30 days, it’s $149 per city for 30 days, only if you choose to continue. 10 of 10 founding spots left.

$149 per city for 30 days. Tell us which role and cities you want, and we’ll reply by email with how to pay. Ask about sponsoring Not ready yet? Tell us you’re interested.

Where a sponsored role shows

  • In each city you sponsor: the city’s page and its role pages (for example, backend developer jobs in Seattle), placed as above.
  • Everywhere else it appears (other cities during its first 7 days, the home page, its company page, search results): in its normal place by date, labeled Sponsored, and never ahead of the first 6 unpaid roles.
  • Its own page, with the full description and your Apply link.

Cities: Seattle, San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Washington DC, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver-Boulder, Austin, Atlanta, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Minneapolis-St. Paul, San Diego, Raleigh-Durham, Detroit, Houston, Charlotte, St. Louis, Huntsville, Tampa, Salt Lake City, Montreal, Colorado Springs, Portland, Miami, Boise, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Hampton Roads, Nashville, Dayton, elsewhere in the US and Canada and Remote (open to people in the US or Canada).

What RoleWeek does not do

  • No fake applications or clicks. We never create traffic, applications or Apply clicks. A count is what visitors really did.
  • No resumes or candidate lists. RoleWeek has no accounts and never sees applications, so we can’t send you resumes or a list of job seekers, and we don’t sell one.
  • No promised results. We can’t promise any number of views, clicks or hires. A sponsored role gets a longer stay and a better place on the list, nothing more.
  • No rewriting. Your role shows as you posted it, with light cleanup for formatting, and with its real posted date.

A sponsored role must be a real, open developer role that you take applications for on your own site, and it must follow employment and anti-discrimination laws. We may decline or remove any sponsored role. See our terms.

Example: how a sponsored role appears. “Your company” stands in for yours; this is not a real role.

  • Your company

    Senior Backend Engineer

  • The Sponsored label, on the card and on the role’s page.
  • A reserved spot after the first 6 unpaid roles in each city you sponsor.
  • Up for 30 days, with its real posted date (here, 3 days ago).

Questions

Which roles can I sponsor?
A developer role (software, data, machine learning, DevOps, security, QA, IT and more) that is open on your own careers site, in any city RoleWeek covers (listed above) or remote. If RoleWeek doesn’t list the role yet, send the link and we’ll check whether we can read your hiring system.

How long does a sponsorship last?
30 days in each city you sponsor, from the day it starts. It ends earlier if you close the role.

Will job seekers know it’s paid?
Yes. A sponsored role is labeled Sponsored everywhere it appears. We don’t show display ads; sponsored roles are the only paid placement on RoleWeek.

Does sponsoring change the posted date?
No. RoleWeek always shows the date you posted the role, on the card, on its page and to search engines.

Can I change or end a sponsorship?
Yes. Reply to our email and we’ll extend it, change its cities or end it.

How do I pay?
It costs $149 per city for 30 days. Founding sponsors, the first 10 employers, pay nothing for their first 30 days in one city of their choice (Remote counts as a city); more cities are $149 each. Send the form and we’ll reply by email with how to pay. We don’t take payment on this site yet.
